Sätila is a village with about 3500 inhabitants, on the shore of lake Lygnern and close to nature. Camp Lygnevi is a natural gathering place in Sätila where old and young can socialize through physical, cost-free activity – the natural starting point for exercise and recreation in the area.
By offering different activities from the same starting point, the goal is to unite generations and create life and movement in the area. Sätila Sport Club (SSK), together with the local village association (Sätila Byalaget), the jetty group and Hälsohuset, has been awarded a grant from Leader Sjuhärad! The grant will go to developing the area around Sätila Sand and we have chosen to call the project Camp Lygnevi.
The Camp Lygnevi project involves several intiatives, including a “sports library” lending out equipment for various beach activities, kayak rental, a frisbee golf course and a fixed shelter for hikers. The purpose is to make the place attractive to both residents and visitors. The project is carried out in collaboration between non-profit associations in Sätila, where Sätila sports club (SSK) will be responsible for lending and leasing equipment.
